Your blood has several parts: red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and plasma. Platelets are tiny pieces that help your blood clot when you get a cut. Plasma is the liquid part of your blood that carries these cells and platelets.
Within this mix, we find enriched plasma. Our providers take a small amount of your blood and put it into a centrifuge. This spins the blood very fast, separating the platelets and plasma from the other parts. They then mix the plasma with a higher concentration of platelets, creating enriched plasma.
This enriched plasma has special healing properties because it’s packed with platelets and growth factors – substances that support the body’s own repair mechanisms. Our providers can inject this mixture into an injured area, like a sore muscle or damaged joint, to help support the localized healing process.
This protocol is used as a component of our Joint Rejuvenation Protocols for supporting sports injury treatment, arthritis, and inflammation treatment, or other aesthetic treatments where the body needs a little support to help to heal or rejuvenate.
